The desk reads your record
one line · written first · you pay only to publish
What listeners have already written about your release is in the diary, free, one part of the song at a time. The desk is for the record nobody has written about yet.
The desk writes one line about your record in the house voice: lowercase, deadpan, a reference the writer would understand, about one element of your record. It is not a review and it is not flattery. A line like that is tweetable, and people believe it — because this house doesn't flatter anyone, and every take is shown with its song, one tap away.
how it works
- Leave the record (form below). No payment, no account. In your own Discord, the same desk answers
/desk link: email:— and when you publish, the stamped card lands in that channel, in front of the people who were already there. - The desk writes the read and sends it to you privately. Nobody else sees it.
- If you want it public, it runs: a stamped card on the wall for a day, a permanent take page with the preview wired in, and a share card built for posting. That's when you pay — after you've read it.
the rules — read them, they protect you too
- The read is the read. No edits, no rewrites, no notes to the writer. The moment a buyer can shape the line, the line is worth nothing — yours included.
- You hold the kill-switch. Don't publish, and the read stays between you and the desk forever. (You'll be refunded the $0 you paid.)
- Paid reads never enter the corpus. They don't train the voice, don't file as wall takes, don't earn signal. The wall stays honest; your card says what it is.
- Every paid card is stamped as an ad. House law, no exceptions.
- The desk declines records it has nothing true to say about.
